Partner Joseph Oates has over two decades of experience in acting for insolvency practitioners across a range of office holding posts.  

Our team can provide advice to office holders on their roles and responsibilities and, in particular, recovery actions utilising the provisions of the Insolvency Act and other statutes.  

We understand that, in many such cases, funding is a significant issue for the office holder in obtaining legal services and we offer advice on a variety of flexible funding solutions, including facilitating arrangements with a litigation funder, as necessary.   Our emphasis is to support office holders in maximising realisations and preserving costs where possible.  We are therefore keen advocates of early mediation and/or Alternative Dispute Resolution more broadly and Joseph Oates is a qualified mediator.
