CooperBurnett enjoyed their first Walking Lunch event which took place during Lawyer Wellbeing Week.

A group of team members from CooperBurnett enjoyed their first Walking Lunch event yesterday which, appropriately, took place during Lawyer Wellbeing Week.

The idea of Senior Paralegal Carla Loveday and Paralegal Imogen Fleur, the Walking Lunch is open to everyone on the team and offers the opportunity to spend one lunch time a week discovering the environment around our office in Tunbridge Wells. The intention is that the weekly walk will be devised and led by different members of the team and this first one was mapped out by Hannah Subhan.

Partner Thomas Lumsden, who is leading the next walk said: “I enjoyed the fresh air and exercise but, above all, catching up with colleagues and having a bit of a laugh on the way round.”

Carla added: “The main benefit was the committed investment to self-care and wellbeing by getting away from my desk and screen, allowing my mind to unwind, the gentle physical exercise of walking (which I love) and the opportunity to connect and chat with colleagues outside of the professional setting.”

The walk was also a good opportunity for new team members to meet their colleagues. Hannah Mashford, PA to the Commercial Department says: "Being new to the firm, I wanted to participate in the lunchtime walk as a way of meeting other members of CooperBurnett. With the nice weather hopefully arriving soon, it was also a chance to get some fresh air and see some of Tunbridge Wells."
