The 26.2 mile charity walk brings individuals, corporates and community groups together to walk from Tonbridge Baptist Church to Tonbridge Old Fire Station (TOFS) to raise money for Sustain, the Tonbridge food bank. As usual, TeamCB will be sending a team!
Walkers are greeted at the start with a hot bacon or sausage roll (vegetarian and vegan options are available), a hot drink and a rousing send off from James Pavlou from Walk Tonbridge and Victoria Sampson from CooperBurnett!
From there, walkers tackle a route through beautiful countryside, scenic parks and pretty villages around Tonbridge. There are plenty of checkpoints enroute to fill up on water and snacks. A finishers medal is waiting at TOFS, where you can relax and buy a well-deserved drink.
There’s also a Mini Marathon option again this year, offering a 5 mile or accessible 3.6 mile route, starting and finishing at TOFS. There will be two checkpoints on the course; one at Haysden Country Park and a second, where you can stop for tea at the charity cake stall.
All profits from the ticket sales from both events will be donated to charity partner, Sustain. Walkers also have the option of raising funds through sponsorship, either for Sustain or a charity partner of their choice.
