Our fantastic team has been busy having a good clear-out for our current charity of choice Demelza Hospice Care for Children and came into the office with bags and boxes of clothes, handbags, shoes, books and other items to donate to the charity.
Head of Corporate Partnerships and Trusts at Demelza, Lila Dowie, called in to pick everything up and was welcomed by Head of Accounts Gareth Warner, who is a member of our charity committee, and Partner Victoria Sampson.
Lila said that the clutter will go to the charity's storage unit in Maidstone, where it will be sorted and then sent out to the charity's 27 shops or sold online or at auction.
She explained that as well as raising vital funds for the charity, it's really good to be recycling items which can be enjoyed again by somebody else, as well as reducing the number of things sent to landfill and getting onboard with the move to sustainable fashion.
