CooperBurnett sponsors local school equestrian teams

We are excited to have embarked on a sponsorship programme to support the equestrian teams at Beacon Academy in Crowborough and Uplands Academy in Wadhurst (which are both part of the MARK Education Trust).

The young riders, who have enjoyed recent success both as teams and individuals in prestigious National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) competitions and events, will wear new kit bearing the CooperBurnett logo, including fleece jackets and cross-country tops for the riders and saddle pads for the horses.

"We are excited to be sponsoring the equestrian teams from Beacon Academy and Uplands Academy," says Joseph Oates, Partner and Head of Litigation at CooperBurnett LLP. "Here at CooperBurnett, we have supported many clients involved in some way with the equestrian community over the years - so it's exciting to now be supporting the sport at its grassroots. We know there is much enthusiasm and talent within the teams - and wish them well with their upcoming competitions."

CEO and Executive Headteacher of MARK Education Trust, Anna Robinson, says: “As a trust, we are incredibly proud of our two school equestrian teams and the impressive progress that our students have made, both in training and when competing against other schools in NSEA events, thanks to unwavering support from their dedicated team manager volunteers. Just as there is in our schools, there is a real emphasis within the teams on supporting the students and helping them to develop their skills and confidence, no matter what level they are competing at. We are absolutely delighted to welcome CooperBurnett Solicitors as the teams’ new sponsor and would like to thank them for supporting this exciting enrichment offer for our students. This partnership demonstrates the important relationship between our schools and our communities.”

Partners Victoria Sampson and Joseph Oates were delighted to meet some of the riders and their horses recently in Eridge and hear first hand about their love of horse riding and the support they are receiving as part of the Beacon and Uplands teams.

“It was very apparent that the students are really benefiting from the opportunity to be part of such a supportive team and their horses seemed equally happy!” says Victoria. “We are looking forward to seeing them compete and cheering on their success.”
