Ashford-based Four Seasons Fencing began trading 2001, initially installing agricultural and security fencing throughout Kent and Sussex.

Four Seasons Fencing has been a client of CooperBurnett LLP since 2009.

Led by Managing Director Graeme Allison, Four Seasons Fencing has expanded and, since 2006, has been also manufacturing and retailing timber and metal fencing products from a two-acre site in Bethersden in Kent.

Today the company is a manufacturer, supplier and installer of a wide range of timber and metal fencing products. It holds stocks in excess of 3000 fencing products at its yard, ranging from fixtures, fittings and timber garden products through to high security weldmesh and steel palisade systems and gates.

There are two divisions within the company - contracting and retail. Contracting is on a commercial installation basis only and covers all aspects of commercial projects from private property through to schools, railways and prisons. The retail division is all about supplying Kent and further afield with a full range of fence types, from homemade closeboard panels delivered locally to artic lorry loads of Chestnut delivered throughout UK and abroad.

The company also specialises in bespoke fencing, working with landscapers and architects to create tailormade fencing solutions. Recent projects include working with the Royal British Legion in Maidstone; Charing Crematorium; and Port of London Authority.

Here we ask Graeme Allison more about the support CooperBurnett LLP provides the business:

When did you first start working with CooperBurnett LLP?

“I attended a business lunch in Tunbridge Wells 13 years ago and found myself sitting next to an ex-partner from CooperBurnett. I talked about my business and how we were selling off Cole Ironcraft, a company within our group at that time. He suggested I talk to his colleague Victoria Sampson, who was across the table from us. I did just that and we’ve been a client of CooperBurnett ever since.”

What support does CooperBurnett give your business?

“CooperBurnett helped us to dispose of that company (it was a metalworks business we’d inherited with a commercial site purchase) and since then we’ve had other reorganising which has required their help. They support us with all our corporate law matters, while the team at CooperBurnett has helped me in other areas as well, such as residential property issues, land purchases and Wills.”

Who do you deal with on the CooperBurnett team?

“Victoria is always the first person I call regarding any legal matters. She is friendly and really easy to deal with and our phone calls always begin with a catch-up about our families, which I like. Building that trust is so important.

I’ve accumulated assets during my working lifetime and, although it sounds a bit morbid, I am confident that if anything happened to me, Victoria has a handle on absolutely everything and that’s a great comfort. It’s really important to me to know that everything is in place for the next generation.”

What would you say to another business looking to work with CooperBurnett?

“CooperBurnett is always our first port of call and I have huge confidence in the team’s ability. It’s good to have a sounding board and they offer a common-sense approach. They are a great team and I’d go as far as saying that the firm feels like a family. With CooperBurnett by your side, you are in good hands.”
