To mark the 40th anniversary of CooperBurnett, the partners recently arranged for every member of the team to be sent a very special Captain Tom Rose. Bought from World of Roses, £2.50 from each purchase is being donated to The Captain Tom Foundation. The Foundation supports causes close to the late Sir Captain Thomas Moore, including combating loneliness, championing education and equality and, of course, the NHS.

“Between us, the partners have been hand-delivering the roses to each of our colleagues at home,” says Partner Victoria Sampson. “We wanted to give them all something to mark our 40th anniversary in April, which will be long-lasting and will grow from something small into a thing of beauty. The symbolism of growth from the stark stalks as we emerge from the pandemic into our ruby year is something we hope everyone will embrace. This particular rose was chosen to not only support The Captain Tom Foundation but also because of its colour – as this is our ruby anniversary.”

A message to each colleague included a quote from Thomas J Watson [the late chairman and CEO of IBM] ‘To be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, and your business in your heart’, as well as these words: “As we move forward into our 40th year and beyond, thank you for being part of the heart of our business. We look forward to the continued success and growth of CooperBurnett, with your help.”

Partner Joseph Oates adds: “These past 12 months have been exceptionally challenging and our colleagues - ‘Team CB’ - have been phenomenal. They have gone above and beyond for CooperBurnett and this is just a small token of our appreciation for their dedication and effort.”

There is now much anticipation to see which of the stunning red roses will bloom first.
