Figures released this week for November 2017 show that Tunbridge Wells experienced one of the smallest average house price rises across England for the 12-month period from November 2016. The figures, compiled jointly by the Office for National Statistics, the Land Registry and other bodies, revealed that the average price of a property in England was £243,339 with the annual average price change 5.3%

In Tunbridge Wells, the average house price in November 2017 was £373,487 – up just 0.3% from the year before at £372,287. The story in nearby authorities was a little different – with Sevenoaks seeing a 7.4% rise over the same period, Tonbridge and Malling a 3.8% rise and East Sussex, 6.7%.

The biggest house price rise in England during the November 2016 to November 2017 period was in North Norfolk at 13.8% followed by Swale in Kent (12.9%), a region not far from us. The City of London saw house prices fall by 10.9%.

At CooperBurnett we’ve got more than 35 years’ experience in the residential property market and, over that time, we’ve seen house prices both rise and fall and we have continued to support buyers and sellers in those markets.
